A message from the pilot/photographer.
I have been flying since 1980 and taking pictures since 1973, but until the spring of 2006, I never put these two passions of mine together. Now that I have you get to see what I see from above. Great Moose Aerial Art's mission is to show you how beautiful Maine and her surroundings really are through the work you'll enjoy on this website, and then in your home or office for years to come. That's why we named this fun little division "Great Moose Aerial Art". It really is "aerial art" from above.
I received my pilot's license in Dallas in 1987. I was in the computer software business and I traded a local FBO my hours working on his databases for hours in his airplanes. I just paid for the instructor. It was a sweat deal, and I got to fly a lot of different airplanes. My first ride in a float plane was that same year I got my license. It was a Cessna 206 amphibian, and it seemed like we used most of Lake Texoma that hot Texas day to get airborne, but I was hooked anyway. Taking off and landing from water is a blast! It also offers you some incredible angles to shoot aerial photography from. Enjoy and see for yourself!

My photography has been published in two national magazines. My work has been entered in several national, judged competitions. I thank everyone for the awards I have received.
I have three boys and I like to tell the story of how I tried to teach them to take pictures, but it was easier to teach them how to fly instead. It's a true story!
